Volunteers are signing up. If you haven’t seen how you can help do a #180ForJustice in four easy steps online, click here and get to steppin!
And then, let’s all get active for justice now in preparation. A partner organization to the Alliance of Families for Justice called The Race for Re-Entry is set for its 5K in the Bronx on April 23. You can join the AFJ team by signing up here.
The Race for Re-Entry is a 5K Walk Run Bike grassroots initiative to raise awareness about the local health crisis facing Bronx residents as well as the need to create a more cohesive network of coordinated services for individuals returning to the community from incarceration.
This Walk*Run*Bike educates communities about healthy living, sustainability and fostering positive relationships with law enforcement where disparities exist.
Registration is 8am – 9:30am. Ribbon cutting at 10am. Bikers start at 10:05am. Runners start at 10:15am. Walkers start at 10:25am, so you don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn for this fun run.
